Flower Power
It’s March!!! And while there’s still a thick layer of snow covering the ground, I am starting to see the light at the end of the long winter tunnel. The days are getting longer, the sun is feeling warmer and just the idea that soon enough we’ll be seeing the spring flowers start to peek up out through the cold ground has me feeling renewed.
So, to celebrate those flowers that will soon making their annual appearance, I’m wearing these fun, floral leggings from Forever21+. They are joyful, bright and just so happen to be extremely comfortable, which is always a bonus!
I’ve paired them with a royal blue, 2-way tank top from Addition Elle, my favorite tone on tone, black leopard print, 3/4 length sleeve jacket from Penningtons, multi-strand, beaded jewelry and my cute, white patent leather Aldo flats for a casual, whimsical look that infuses even more warmth into an already fading winter.

Love those leggings, I think I’d wear them cropped though as I’m always conscious that emphasising the narrowness of my ankles makes my hips look wider lol
That would work, for sure! But, I’ve actually grown to love wearing clothes that accentuate my ample hips and bottom. I used to be self conscious about them but I’ve realized that big hips are a very womanly feature and they make me feel feminine and soft… Not to mention, my hips are my hubby’s favorite thing about my body! Haha… Try stepping out of your comfort zone, you may be surprised with the results! But I do love a cute, cropped legging, though! 😉
I have some printed cigarette trousers I bought to do that very thing, take me out of my comfort zone. I kept wanting to put chunky boots with them though lol
Haha… Old habits die hard… lol. But try them with a great, pointy toed flat, or a simple wedge heel. Really show off those hips, because they are one of your most primal assets and you’d be surprised how womanly your gorgeous, big hips can make you feel!
I’m still fighting my rock chic tendancies so pointy flats might be a step too far but I did just get some little mech black ballet pumps I could try them with. 😀
